CONSTELLATIONS
"My practice explores the relationship between spirituality, psychology and human experience through painting and drawing."
"Constellations explores the idea that drawing is an act of connection. Just as people have long imagined stories by joining the stars, I create networks of lines and shapes that gradually form a larger whole. Inspired by the order of the universe, these paintings express my belief that God’s presence connects all creation—from the smallest cell to the greatest galaxy—and that we are all part of that greater constellation."
Since 2013, Hyde’s work has been exhibited in Western Australia and continues to evolve through both abstract and figurative painting. His practice remains grounded in the belief that art is an act of discovery, revealing relationships between the visible and invisible worlds and encouraging contemplation of the divine within everyday experience.
Part of the Constellations series, C-42 explores the harmony that emerges through connection. Layers of cool blues and greens are woven together with vibrant accents of orange, creating a sense of movement, balance, and light. Inspired by the way constellations link distant stars into meaningful patterns, this work reflects the unseen relationships that unite creation and invites quiet contemplation of the order found within the universe.
